I would like to start out by saying that I have been involved in Advertising and Marketing for
most of my adult life. After receiving my degree in Marketing and Psychology back in 1985. I ran an advertising agency in NY.
I was burned out from the corporate rat race and packed my bags and moved to Scottsdale Arizona in the early 90’s. It was at that point in my life I decided I wanted to be my own boss and work from home. It wasn’t easy at first but I was able to survive in the beginning providing consultant work for small businesses primarily in telemarketing.
The Biggest Change in my life occurred in 1995!
In 1995 I ran into this new fangled thing called the internet and I have never looked back at the traditional advertising world.
The one thing that I still have yet to find is that magic, no work, get rich quick scheme that I see advertised everyday. I have done very well with internet marketing, but it was no cake walk. I have spent years learning, applying what l learned. Failing, and learning from my mistakes.
I became an expert in Search Engines, and had articles published and traveled all over the country doing lectures on SEO.
I remember in 1999 I was at a SEO convention in San Francisco when I saw a booth with this new search engine called Google. Iwalked over to the booth and a young kid named Sergey Brin explained their vision and gave me a coffee mug and a few other collectibles. Who would have thought he would be the king of search engines a short time later.
I have built several online businesses and actually created one of the very first capture pages back in 1995 for my automotive business. Back then, we had to Fax our leads to car dealers because very few people used email.
I also buy and sell domain names and currently own about 4,400 domain names.
As the Auto industry started to crumble I realized that I need to take my internet marketing knowledge and expand into other areas.
I became involved in my first MLM in 2008 and soon realized that that the business model being taught to me was severely flawed. I could not for the life of me understand why anyone would want to chase after uninterested people to build their business.
I was inspired by people like Mike Dillard, Ann Seig, and Jonathan Budd, that were not afraid to buck the traditional system and start using the power of the internet to help people build successful home businesses online.
I am fortunate that I already had 14 years of internet marketing experience and my transition into Network Marketing has been smooth.
I have spent the past year immersing myself in Network Marketing and speaking with newcomers about internet marketing. I have found that most people really want to learn, but are overwhelmed by the amount of information out there. I have created many videos and have written several eBooks to try and help newcomers keep things simple.
My latest eBook is called Invitation Network Marketing and I give it away Free. It ties directly into the principles of Attraction Marketing and I hope you download it and find it helpful.
What am I doing now?
After working with hundreds of Network Marketers and listening to what their biggest obstacles were, I realized that many of the fantastic training and marketing systems out there are way too advanced for most newcomers to internet marketing. I have been working with my programmers and am currently developing a internet marketing training system for newbies. It will be called The Step Ladder Network Marketing System and will teach the very basics, so when newcomers finish they can graduate to some of the more complex systems out there.
Look for the release in October 2009.
I also do a lot of SEM (search engine marketing) consultant work for small business owners here in Arizona. As the economy gets worse, many small business owners are realizing that just having a website is not enough. I enjoy showing them how to use the internet to grow their business. It doesn’t matter if you are a plumber or a restaurant owner, it is possible to build your business using simple and inexpensive marketing techniques.
My advice to you is never quit on your dream and never stop learning and upgrading your skills. Become an expert and people will flock to you.
